Defensive Shotgun Training
The Defensive Shotgun training course is a beginners’ shotgun shooting program where you will learn the basics of shotgun shooting and perfect the foundation for mastering this special tool. This class is suitable for all levels of experience including the novice and those comfortable with a shotgun. If you want to improve your shotgun shooting skills, you will find this course valuable.
Often overlooked yet incredibly effective in defensive scenarios, the shotgun is frequently misunderstood and underused. Whether using a pump-action or semi-automatic model, employing the shotgun defensively calls for a solid grasp of its unique capabilities, handling quirks, and inherent limitations. This in-depth course is designed to elevate participants from basic shotgun fundamentals to advanced defensive shooting techniques.
Throughout the class, you will develop the essential skills, manipulations, and mental resilience necessary to navigate real-world defensive challenges. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, you’ll engage in a variety of realistic live-fire drills aimed at boosting both your confidence and operational proficiency with the shotgun.
Please note: Birdshot will be the primary ammunition used during this course, paired with steel reactive targets. Since certain types of birdshot can compromise the reliability and function of semi-automatic shotguns, ensure your firearm is properly tested with birdshot prior to the class.
